Youth Calendar Nov – Dec 2011

 

*Thanks to all who helped with Trunk-or-Treat / Ooey Gooey and our Haunted Jungle Safari ! I have only heard awesome things about it and the amazing job you did!  Don’t forget it also counts as community service hours. I am soooo proud of all of you!

 

*Feeding of the 5000 - see  www.feedingthe5000.net to volunteer the week of Thanksgiving. Encourage your family and friends to be a part of this amazing event.

 

*Start brining in dessert mixes (cookies, pies, brownies, cakes, etc…) and dessert donations (prepared items that can be frozen) for Feeding of the 5000. I will have extra eggs, oil, and milk for the recipes.

 

*Wed, Nov  2 – Lesson - video “She”

 

*Wed, Nov 9 – Lesson – Thankfulness, Gratitude Letters (bring in dessert mixes, see above)

 

*Thurs, Nov 10 – go eat at Chick-Fil-A on HWY 41 in Estero between 5-9 PM and say you are with Lamb of God Church

 

*Sun, Nov 13, 5:30 – 9:30 pm  – Harvest Fest (high school only, see other sheet)

 

*Wed, Nov 16 – bake night for Feeding of the 5000 – we will be mixing and baking so bring dessert mixes and necessary pans and bowls to prepare your dessert – continue Thankfulness and Gratitude lesson

 

*Sun, Nov 20 – volunteer at LOG for Feeding 5000, more detailed information to come, the shifts are either 3-6 or 6-9

 

*Wed, Nov 23 – NO YOUTH GROUP

 

*Wed, Nov 30 – Lesson: Advent Wreath and Christmas message

 

*Wed, Dec 7 – LOG Christmas Decorating, Advent Wreath  

 

*Wed, Dec 14 – Youth Group Christmas Party at Kathleen’s house, middle school 5:45 – 7:00, high school 7:30 – 9:00, bring a dish to share, we will have Secret Santa, Christmas devotion, and s’mores – address: Contact Kathleen by email to request her home address.

*Sat, Dec 17 – prepare and bake quiches and pie for our youth group fund raiser, more info to come

 

*Wed, Dec 21 - NO YOUTH GROUP

 

*Sat, Dec 24 – LOG Christmas Eve Services: 6:00 pm – Family Service and Plug-In Pageant (I will need help so let me know if you are coming to this), 8:30 pm – Awesome Grace Service,

10:30 pm – Classic Grace Service

 

*Sun, Dec, 25 – Christmas Day Service – 10:30 am

 

*Wed, Dec 28 and Wed, Jan 4 NO YOUTH GROUP

 

*Wed, Jan 11 – regular youth group resumes – New Year kick-off, bring a friend!
